Animal Plasma

Animal Plasma

Plasma is the liquid fraction of un-clotted blood. After the addition of an anticoagulant to fresh whole blood, plasma is prepared by continuous flow separation of the citrated blood into the red and white blood cells solid phase and the plasma liquid phase. The plasma is then frozen to -20 deg C and stored frozen.
